Arun Control Systems will provide the documentation required by the client and will consult closely with them to produce the documents in a format that best suits their needs.
We have some standard types of specifications and other documents that we offer with our projected systems, but again these are subject to discussion with the client.
All documents can be provided as printed hard copy or / and electronically.
User Requirement Specifications (URS)
A client may produce a URS as a fully developed document, in which the plant requirement is clearly and precisely described, including any specific factors and constraints on which a quotation for the completion of the development is to be based.
This document will be distributed to potential suppliers who will base their tenders on its contents.
Arun Control Systems offers to assist in the production of this valuable document or create it in its entirety for the client.
Functional Design Specification (FDS)
Arun Control Systems would expect to take a URS and turn it into an FDS. This document describes the manner in which Arun Control Systems intends to provide the system described in the URS and replaces general requirement descriptions with more detail, including product specific and HMI details.
The FDS will be agreed by both client and Arun Control Systems and should be considered a contractual document, part of the overall contractual documentation, describing precisely what the client will receive upon delivery.
These documents are produced following the IEE guidelines on documentation.
System Acceptance Test Specification (SATS)
Often described as a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) or Site Acceptance Test (SAT), the SATS document will detail the features of the system and describe a method by which the system will be exercised and the features shown to be functioning correctly.
The document will outline the entire procedure and should be presented to the client prior to testing commencing for approval by the client.
The documentation forms a guideline for the testing but does not limit the testing to those tests described.
The client will have the opportunity to decide whether the testing should be witnessed by one of his representatives.
The signed test sheets, including fault reports, form a complete record of the testing and are included in the final documentation issued to the client.
Technical Manual
This document is based on the FDS but includes all the “as-built” details and engineering development notes, providing a valuable record of the system at the point of commissioning completion. This manual is useful for future maintenance and development.
